In Key Stage 3 pupils follow Gute Reise 1 and 2. The course promotes communication from the outset and involves active and independent learning through individual, pair and group work. It is successful in offering an insight into Germany and German speaking countries.
In Key Stage 4 pupils pursue Fokus Deutsch which is a modular course whereby pupils collect points for their GCSE on four occasions throughout the two years. 75% of the course is exams and 25% is coursework. The course works closely with the new AQA specifications for the four modules including My World, Travel, Work and The Young Persons in Society.
