The Learning Mentor Department has two Learning Mentors:

• Miss Jenny Powell

What are Learning Mentors?

Many Young people fail to make sufficient

progress in the early years of secondary

education. Therefore, many schools have

‘Learning Mentors.’

Learning Mentors are there to support pupils in order to support pupils by working closely with teaching staff and parents/carers as well as outside agencies.

The Learning Mentors at Manor Foundation work mainly with pupils in years 7, 8 & 9 but do work with years 10 & 11 (thus being on a more academic basis).
