Media Studies is a well established and successful option subject available at Key Stage 4 and Post 16.

Key Stage 4: OCR GCSE Media Studies

Post 16: OCR Level 3 National Diploma in Media

Examination Results:

In 2006, Key Stage 4 results were 62% A-C and 100%A-G.

Post 16 results were 90% pass and this followed three successive years of a 100% pass rate.

Why Study the Media?

It is impossible to overemphasise the significance of the media in our lives. Studying the media will give you an understanding of media texts, such as television programmes, films, advertisements and so on. The great joy of the subject is that you do not have to acquire a huge body of knowledge and constantly revise it. What you will be studying in media is already a part of your daily and leisure time.
