INTERNET SAFETY CODE
This code applies at all times,
both in and out of lesson times,
whilst using school equipment
Tell your teacher or another member of staff if you see, hear or read anything, which makes you feel uncomfortable whilst using the Internet |
Only use your school e-mail address and no other. You will be provided with a school e-mail address, which you may use subject to written parental consent and following these guidelines:
• Only e-mail people that you know or that have been approved by a member of staff .
• Only send e-mail from your own account and do not attempt to send e-mail from any other account.
• All messages sent must be polite and responsible, in the same way that you would expect to receive them. Do not use or send bad language, offensive messages or pictures.
• Tell your teacher if you receive a message or attachment that is inappropriate or makes you feel uncomfortable. |
Do not give your name, home address, telephone number or any other personal information about yourself or others over the Internet. This includes filling in on-line forms as well as that sent through e-mail. |
Never arrange to meet someone through a contact made over the Internet |
Do not access web sites that are inappropriate for use in school (if you would not be looking at the site with a member of staff watching, then it is inappropriate). Written approval by parents and teacher is required if a student wishes to research such information for a project. |
