Status achieved for 3 more years – July 2009.
In
July 2009 the school received exciting news that we would have our Speciali=
st
Status in Business Enterprise and Sport for 3 more years.
As
a result of the award, we shall continue to receive extra funding to support
the pupils in Business and PE. Both subject areas will continue to expand t=
heir
provision of vocational courses, leading in their development of BTEC cours=
es.
Business
Studies, ICT and PE are expecting their best ever results this summer and t=
hey
will contribute towards the GCSE and A-Level results.
The
two departments will build on their strengths and plan new teaching and
learning resources for the departments and the whole school.
Further
work in the local community, will result in higher standards in Junior Scho=
ols
and within Community groups.
